My owner is a home inspector in San Diego. As an ActiveRain Ambassador, wherever I go I try my best to speak positively, excitedly, enthusiastically, passionately, and fervently about ActiveRain without appearing to be too keen, eager, thrilled, energized, or wound up about my own success and fun here at ActiveRain.

Before ActiveRain started charging for the public blog, it was fairly easy to get people to join ActiveRain. I say fairly easy, but considering I've sent out over 5,000 invitations and have fewer than 100 acceptances, maybe in hindsight it wasn't so fairly easy. Nonetheless, I've had a rash of people (a rash of people?) accept my invitation recently.

Here is where I need the help of my ActiveRain family and friends.

Although my latest Invitees have joined, they don't have a Rainmaker account and they haven't entered anything in their blogs yet. I have included below their names, locations, and a link to their ActiveRain profile.

Click on the link here, then click on their ActiveRain Email, and send them a short note encouraging them to start blogging and become active in our ActiveRain community.

Feel free to include your own testimonial about your fun and success here at ActiveRain, especially with your Rainmaker account, your outside blog, and your Google juice, especially if you are in their service area.

Here they are:

  1. Tobin Crossland; New Braunfels, Texas
  2. Stewart Henry; Innisfil, Ontario, Canada
  3. Duke Griffin; Estes Park, Colorado
  4. Frank Scerbo; Naples, Florida
  5. Spencer Johns; Carrollton, Texas
  6. James Slusser; Berwick, Pennsylvania
  7. Anthony Cirringione; Atco, New Jersey
  8. Brian Smith; Modesto, California

Great idea! only I clicked on the email links on both pages (profile and blog) and neither of them was working for the first two names listed. It seems like when I joined I had trouble with my email links working too...not sure how or who resolved the issue...this was a great idea. Maybe you could get them to introduce themselves through their blogs; short and sweet.

Russel you are doing much better than some of us.   This is a great idea to have present members welcome the newcomers.

Hey, Teral - I tried all the emails before posting, and I tried them again just now, and they work. Not sure why they didn't work for you. Nonetheless, I'm hoping that with a few people encouraging them on, they'll introduce themselves in their blogs. I usually also do an introductory blog about them, but only after they have at least one post in their own blog.

Hey, Jennifer - I figure maybe if some of us welcome them, they'll get off to a better start than I did when I joined. If someone had welcomed me, I might not have taken a 17-month sabbatical between joining and coming back to stay.

Hey, Joseph - Thanks. I knew I could count on my friends in Massachusetts.

Hey, Lisa - When I believe in something, I like to spread the good news, so to speak.

You sure do get out there, don't you, Russel?  Wow!  I have only managed to invite one person and you're already pushing 100.  Great job.  I sent them all emails.  I hope to be reading their blog posts soon.

Russel, I have had problems with people getting the emails when I send invites. Congratulations on your new invitees! I will definitely check them out.
