Give them a reason and be creative. This is like writing ad copy for the very short attention span person.

Kathleen, I understand. This post is NOT meant for beginners or anyone who does not fully understand the premise behind Twitter, how it works, and the basic strategies. Quick tips:

  • Twitter allows u to share links from your blog, website, or events page. You may broadcast events or info specific to you as long as you do NOT spamm your network with messages about you 100% of the time
  • Following: you choose who you wish to follow by what it is you wish to gain. If you want research follow the best real estate professionals on twitter, if you want prospective buyers search keywords for people who are looking to purchase in your area
  • Followers: people who follow your "tweet stream" your messages. Some will do it without a plan while others will want to learn from you
  • Tweet: 140 character messages you "post"
  • Twitter: a microblogging platform aka a mini version of a blog
  • Plan: before you can plan on using Twitter or any other social network, you should go to that site and read about it while finding your way around the site
