The number one reason I live and love Charlotte N.C. is the People. Southern charm allows the assimilation of many folks from diverse areas (not just the U.S.A) to be welcome into our fair city.
Our diversity is expansive. Name a country or a section of our country, and it seems their heritage is nicely represented. I guess it comes with all the diverse companies here in our region. Most people assume Charlotte = banking jobs. Well it does. Bank of America and Wachovia /Wells Fargo have a huge footprint here. But, that is just the tip. How about the home of power giant Duke Power, semiconductors from a giant Siemens plant, or NASA products from Goodrich , Racing from NASCAR, Textiles from everybody, Retail from Family Dollar, Steel from NUCOR, a strong Microsoft presence, as well as represented IB
M and more and more... We have a huge fortune 500 presence.
This is not just a one stop shop town. Yep, we have a few Bankers (Thank You) But the diversity of jobs in our area exceed beyond the obvious.
Charlotte has been positioned as a natural commerce center because of its location on historic trade routes and the discovery of the U.S. first gold rush in the 1830’s. We minted federal coins here and were the gold rush that preceeded the California gold rush. Yep, there is still gold yet to be mined here in Charlotte. (Unfortunately not in the quantities of old).
Quality of life with all the new construction, new infrastructure, and people makes the daily view of Charlotte sharp. Amenities abound. And recreational opportunities exist to satisfy even the fussiest of pleasure seekers. Make the trip to the National White Water
Center to see a man-made wonder that World Olympic kayakers seek to compete upon. Hit a mega theme park at Carowinds. Sit and watch the home of NASCAR teams, its Speedway area tracks, shopping ar Concord Mills, incredible venues and its brand new museum uptown Charlotte. Listen and watch world class classical Music and Dance at the Blumenthal. Watch playoff NFL Carolina Panther football and feel the zest of NBA Charlotte Bobcat basketball. Concerts flow at the Verizon Amphitheater with top notched talent or at the Bobcat’s Arena uptown. There is Culture, Trendy night spots, Great Restaurants, and fun to be had throughout the area. Don’t forget to the Carolina BBQ. Hmm, Hmm, Good!
Not enough? Zip to the Smoky Mountains in an easy Sunday ride or clamor for sandy beaches on the Carolina shores just a couple hours away.
You said I want fresh water and great recreational lakes? Look no further than the splendor of Lake Wylie and Lake Norman.
They are the best fresh water Lakes in the entire region for fun, relaxation, great boating, as well as, a spot for the professional Bass Fishing in BASS® national tournaments.
We have over a million people that call our beautiful area home and they do it with glee.
How are the prices on Real Estate you ask? Just as good as is gets. Bang for your buck is resonating in this present market. There are truly fantastic deals at all price levels. We seem to be in a buyers market of note.
What about the Schools? The Charlotte Mecklenburg School system has envious leadership and has a couple schools that rank in the top 50 in the U.S. We have a strong reputation of quality education that ranks among the best.
Summarizing, I would place Charlotte as a destination city with many keen attributes. With expansive miles of Greenways, to include numerous miles of fantastic walking and recreational trails, dotted with beautiful parks filled with wildlife nestled in just about everywhere. Charlotte is a visual resort. Friendly people newly mingle to a newly minted light railTrain to uptown for commuter traffic, extensive roadway systems, and people that love our newly crafted city, we have much to be proud of and much to look forward to. Charlotte is a great place to live. Don't forget the great newly built Charlotte Homes for Sale in this market. All will amaze you on the the value, price and affordability. We have a place to live and a destibation to call home. Wht are you doing?
