Don't delay!

I am writing this commentary with a heavy heart.  In February of this year I lost the man I loved. My best friend, my lover, my everything!  We spent six (6) glorious years together (24 hours a day everyday).  We had a business together, we shared children together; man, I mean everything.  So, for the past four months I have been dealing with this loss.  And now, a very close friend lost her battle with cancer last week.  I'm telling you, this has been a very trying time for me.  And, in my contemplation of the past few months, I have discoverd that we need to live life to the fullest!  No one knows when our time will be up!  I can't even begin to write down all of the things I feel I need to do -- Right Now!!  No time to lose!  Just like Tim McGraw says in his song; live each day like you're dying!  Whatever you are passionate about go out and do it.  Don't delay!  Don't make excuses for not doing those things that you dream about doing!  My passion for a very long time has been real estate.  (one of many passions that is!)  And, I waited until the half-century mark in my life to jump in and begin!  I feel like I shoulda, coulda, woulda, done things differently now that I am looking back.  (Don't look back, never look back!) Don't get me wrong, I have no regrets (or maybe I should say very few!)   But, not until just recently when I have lost two very important people in my life have I opened my eyes to what is really going on in this world!  Man, everyday is a gift, and we need to remember that!  I haven't been using my gifts wisely!  But from now on it is going to be different!  I cannot afford to lose anymore precious time not doing what I am passionate about.  Think about it.

Sandra, my heart goes out to you!  I am told every situation in life there is a lesson, I guess you have discovered yours by knowing that you need to live your life to the fullest!  I would also add, that because life is so unpredictable, always remember to tell those important to you just how much they mean!

I don't know you and just know you need a hug.  I definitely agree, we get to caught up in looking to the future and forget to enjoy the present.

Sandra - I am so sorry for your losses. You're right, there are no guarantees about tomorrow. All the more reason to seize each day as if it's your last!

I thank each and every one of you for your comments.  By no means am I looking for sympathy, (I hope none of you thought that).  I really just wanted to make the statement that life is precious, and each of you responded in that manner.  Thanks so much....

Sandra, I just lost my cousin to pancreatic cancer a couple weeks ago.  It does make you realize all over again how precious life is and how each day could be your last...so live it to the fullest.  My sympathies to you for your losses.
