Join Treads Bicycle Outfitters and the Parker Trail Rangers for a free bicycle maintenance clinic on Wednesday, July 11. Summer is a busy time on Parker's trails, and nothing puts a damper on your bike ride faster than a mechanical problem. Treads' experienced staff will demonstrate preventative maintenance techniques such as lubrication, brake adjustment and size adjustment, as well as roadside repair such as how to fix a flat tire or a derailed chain. They'll offer suggestions on what tools cyclists should carry on long and short, on and off-road rides. The bicycle maintenance clinic will be held at the Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome at all Trail Ranger seminars. Have you seen the Trail Rangers out and about this summer? You'll know them by their bright green T-shirts and backpacks. Rangers are trained in trail safety and are up to date on the latest trail related issues and projects in Parker. They serve as extra eyes and ears for the Town's Public Works and Police Departments, reporting maintenance and safety issues.
