"The Hideout" has thought of Everything! This is how a Premier Community should be planned!

The Pocono’s have emerged as a great area to live full time, or to have a vacation home, renowned for Four Seasons of Fun. Nestled within the Pocono Mountains, just west of Lake Wallenpaupak, is the planned residential community, “The Hideout,” which epitomizes the Pocono’s reputation for four seasons of fun.

The homeowners of The Hideout work very hard at offering a first class, premier community with interests and activities to appeal to all seasons of life, from the very young to the active adult. This is a community with state of the art facilities and located only 30 minutes from Scranton, PA, 100 miles to New York City, and less than 150 miles to Philadelphia, PA.

Along with 6 lakes and ponds, The Hideout boasts over 42 miles of well-maintained paved roads, 250 acres of preserved Pocono pine and hemlock filled woodlands, 24-hour security, and a modern central water and central sewer system. The homes located within this community are beautifully built, and all typically have the local charm one looks for and expects in the Poconos.

One need not worry, but be happy at The Hideout!

Roamingwood Lake Clubhouse & Restaurant

Roamingwood Lake is a 225-acre private motorboat lake for all who love the fun of water sports, with two sandy beaches and a great restaurant and clubhouse and outside bar overlooking the lake.

And there is 15-acre Deerfield Lake, 8-acre Brooks Lake, and the smaller lakes, Windemere Lake, Hidden Lake and 3-acre Big Springs Pond, for the quiet fishing boat and canoeing activities.

To these lakes, add two heated swimming pools and a golf course with a wonderful full service Clubhouse. For winter fun, there is a ski slope, with a ski lift, tubing run, and Lodge.

The fun doesn’t stop there ~ pick-up with a basketball game on a warm summer night on one of its courts, play miniature golf or bocce. If tennis is your game, there are meticulously maintained tennis courts for Roamingwood Lake Beach and Family Fishingone’s use.

There is a physical fitness center too, a woodcraft building and a craft center. Campgrounds are available in a scenic setting and, let’s not forget man’s best friend, the family dog.

Yep, The Hideout boasts a beautiful Dog Park too!

All these amenities are not where it ends at The Hideout ~

There are activities for every age group and for just about every interest.

Community and friendship making abounds in this community, which also offers tranquil privacy.

The 4th of July Fireworks are always a big event and done exceptionally well. Kids and adults love “Halloween Trunk of Treat,” when residents and their cars get all dressed up for Halloween, converge on the parking area, and share “trunks of candy” for all the trick-or-treaters; a DJ is provided too.

There’s the Fall Festival & Harvest Hoedown, plus the Woodworkers’ Ball.

MMiniature Golfohegan Sun anyone? New York City bus trips or ”Murder Mystery Theatre at the Lodge?” Crafter, Quilter, or Zumba? Maybe its card playing clubs or a dart league that tickles one’s fancy. There is a summer activity camp for the kids, and soccer and basketball programs. Cardio classes or Karate?
