Our Dallas weather pattern has us socked in with grey skies and on again off again rain for two weeks now while the east coast basks in much better weather. What is going on here? Have we turned into Seattle with all this greyness? It has taught me a lesson about the greyness and gloom from mother nature.
What The People Need Is A Way To Make Them Smile.
Gloom is all relative. Melancholy is almost like you may think "merely" a state of mind. An attitude. Do you know that it is just a perception shift back to sunnyness despite greyness all around you?
YOU bring the smile to someone else and watch them light up. YOU affect the atmosphere of others around you. YOU talk things out with others till things look brighter.
Do you know despite hard times, if you are with someone that loves you, truly loves you, that the "greyness" doesn't really matter? Love conquers greyness.
Whether in the workplace or our personal lives be the bearer of light. Greyness in our lives does not last forever. Whether it be giving a smile or tuning into some positive and energetic music to lift spirits, work at always being a LIGHT!!
Well my friend-As always you are RIGHT on target. No wonder everbody loves you and knows your name. Just like this SONG Love the song and those are cool pics. YOU got your ears on good buddy. <SMILE>
Hi Gary, The Doobie Brothers is still one of my favorites - can't help but smile with that song. You're right - we are only a perception away from sunnyness - hope the "real" sunshine comes back to you soon -until then - you ARE it!!!
Gary you are right on target, if you surround yourself with positive people or those who love you no matter how grey it might be outside, you can be upbeat.
I sure hope the literal weather in your area will change very soon.
Your posts are such a GIFT and brings light into the room.... I am never disappointed when i click on! Thanks for all the inspiration for the Rainers and your outside audience.
Thank you so much for this post, Gary. I know I've said it countless times before, but what you write is seemingly always so timely. It is the gentle reminder I so needed this Saturday evening. Thank you.
Hi Gary, Sorry you have socked in with all the gloomy weather. I sort of remember it. What I remember most was the extreme heat of the day one day and the snow and ice the very next day. It was surreal.
The video is cleaver and enjoyed it very much. Love the singing trucks. Where do find this stuff? :-
Gary, It was gloomy here today also. My sister is in Denver and it was snowing with a high of 31 degrees (you have to love that global warming). It is hard to frown at someone who is smiling.
Making someone else smile is always a blessing to yourself isn't it?
A little bird told me it was your birthday today Gary... just barley and maybe not even yet at your house, but hopefully by the time you read this and click here, it will already be your birthday!
Smiles are contagious. Great post Gary-love the song and the Doobie Brothers. Nice to dance to early in the morning before church. My spirit is awake now.
