In real estate sales , mentoring is becoming more and more of a terrific way for newbies to break in to the business and receive hands on training  on a daily basis. If there is someone in you firm that is new and looks up to you and admires you and you have a lot to offer.... then why not offer to mentor them!

It will be greatly appreciated and could become a few extra dollars in your pocket in the future. Don't expect much in the beginning . Let a thank you suffice. You will be rewarded in warm fuzzies though if you treat them fairly and honestly.

Howdy there Trey

It sure is always a fine thing, when ya work in an office with others. To be will-en to give someone new a helping hand, when and if-en they are need-en one. I also like your photo of the two pumpkins.

Trey: Mentoring can definitely  go a long way; we need more folks to become mentors and help bring folks along.

Good advice Trey. Everyone was new to this business at some point or another. Its a good thing to be the agent that can be relied upon.

I believe in a quality office setting others will offer up help...but mentoring is just a little more formal and organized  way of achieving that.

Hi Trey... Mentoring is such an important part of our industry and one of the most overlooked aspects in my opinion.

Trey - I was blessed to have some great mentors starting out.  It's actually very flattering now when another agents seeks my advice.  I'm always more than happy to help.  Great post!

Unfortunately, it seems in the home inspection business that it's everyone for their own. Try to find a mentor in this business, or someone who even wants a mentor. No one wants to admit that, as a home inspector, they don't know everything. I missed having a mentor, and I miss being a mentor.
