Ebay-home Recently ,while selling on eBay, I ran into a little know fact about eBay – it’s actually possible to use eBay to sell homes. I don’t mean auction homes (although you can do that too) – but sell them more traditionally by using the service simply to get exposure and generate leads! eBay supports formats other than auctions including fixed price and classified ad formats as explained in their helpful guide for those looking to use their service for the purpose of selling a home.

The process is pretty straight forward:

  1. You create sign up for eBay
  2. You “Sell” your property using the the "ad format" option to generate leads
  3. It will cost you $150 for a 30 day listing or $300 for a 90 day listing
  4. Leads are routed to you via email

Home Seller Benefits
A benefit of using eBay is that your listing potentially gets exposed to 147 million potential regional, national and international buyers. According to eBay, there are now over 370,000 property page views each day. Additionally, they have great support for vFlyers. You can cut and paste your flyer and widget HTML directly into your eBay listing to create eye-catching ads.

Hi:

As a full time real estate auctioneer I have used eBay to supplement our auction marketing for the past 7-years.

We sell two to three properties per month at Internet auction most of them low end lots.

eBay has been a very cost effective tool for us as auctioneers.

realtors are going to have to overcome the trust issue with the public and a lot of negative attitudes towards realtors in general.

The public trusts licensed accredited auctioneers so it is really helpful for my sellers.

What kind of leads are being generated--quality?  quantity?

How do you handle qualifying a bidder as "solid"

Howdy vFlyer

I did not know folks could do that on eBay. Dose the buyer get to have a home inspection on the home?

Have a good one

Thanks for the info. I have posted several homes for sale on ebay..for the extra marketing. Never sold one! But one time, a fraudulant buyer "bought" the home  and ebay took just under $10k from me for fees. The home did not sell and it was a prank. It took more than 6 months for me to receover the money.

Has anyone had any luck with eBay lately?

We used to sell 50 to 100 properties a year there until late 2007 then we dropped them in early 2008.

I am not trying to spam here, I just want to inform others on how to save and get extra money back from their purchases.  If you do buy a home or property on ebay doing this will save you a TON of money.
I am addicted to ebay which is why I use bigcrumbs.  Bigcrumbs gives you money back for purchases you make with ebay and many other stores.  Just go to their website www.bigcrumbs.com and look at all the stores.  All you have to do is sign up and start earning cash back.  I was a skeptic, but it really works and is safe.  If you decide to sign up please add me as your referal.  Then people you refer will make you extra money.  My bigcrumbs name is

Macattack28

I hope this can help even just one person save some of their hard earned money.
