What am I talking about when I say giving your blog Oomph? I'm talking about promoting your blogs even when you aren't able to. Seems impossible doesn't it? But, I promise, it is easier than you think with one simple website and the best thing about this site is that it is FREE!

The website is even called SocialOomph and it really does what it says it can and for FREE! SocialOomph takes your posts and combines it with the power of Twitter. Now, yes, Activerain has a post to Twitter account, but come on, how many people that subscribe to you are really going to be reading your blog and twitter at 10 or 11 at night? Not very many, if any at all, so why not tell them about it when they want to read it?

People, for some reason, when they are at work, love to be on the internet and always seem to be looking for a way to distract themselves from working. Twitter is the tool that tells them about what is going on. If they see you just posted to Activerain, they are more likely click on the link and read your article. But, remember, you posted that at 10pm last night, so how did they just get the alert on Twitter thirty seconds ago?
That is where the power lies in SocialOomph. It lets you pick when you want to post to twitter about that blog and your audience thinks you actually just posted to Activerain and that you are on Twitter and just told them about it, when in reality you were at lunch and SocialOomph posted it for you.

Earlier today, I had 4 tweets scheduled to post about an open house I was doing this morning and I actually added them to SocialOomph last Tuesday, but they posted today just as I'm getting ready, and when I'm arriving at the open house to remind people to come.

When I'm getting ready and putting the signs out, I don't have time to post to Twitter, but SocialOomph does and it keeps me going on Twitter even when I don't have the time. How do I find time to Twitter? I just make sure I write my twitter posts at the same time I'm doing my Activerain posts and this gives me 5 or 6 tweets a day on average and makes me look like I'm more active than I really am on Twitter. My information is being shared and I'm getting an average or 400 to 500 users to my posts rather than just other Activerain members checking out my post and commenting. The public is actually finding me without me actually being there, they are rather finding the virtual me with SocialOomph!
