Check out the cute little Water Lily Cafe right downtown Vancouver, WA. I highly recommend it because it has the BEST pasta salads and sandwiches and soups!!  I love this little cafe and often drop by when I'm working at the downtown Keller William's office. (It's right next door!) The Water Lily Cafe is tucked into the SE corner of the 1st floor of the Bank of America building.  (The address for the Water Lily Cafe is 805 Broadway, Vancouver, WA  98660. Phone is 360-693-9501 and Fax: 360-693-9520. They are open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.)  

My good friend Monique and I like to grab one of their Chicken Fruit Pasta salads or a Tuna Pasta Salad and a drink and head out into the sunshine to have a "concrete" picnic. (There are brick/concrete flower beds and structures to sit on in the sun to enjoy this great lunch!)   This cafe is owned by my friend, Connie Min. She has been in the food and cafe business for over 25 years. I asked her where she got all her delicious recipes and she said that it has come from experience, whatever people liked, she would repeat. I asked Connie what was the best food items she had to offer and she said, "IT'S ALL GOOD!" And, she's right. I love trying new sandwiches or one of her specialty soups.   Connie did tell me that her most popular items are the "Merry Berry Sandwich," "California Turkey" and "Chicken Salad Sandwich" (That's because she bakes the chicken fresh every morning and cuts it up for the different items!) And I have to recommend the "Teriyaki Chicken Wrap."  

The Cafe has adorable gift items too. It has lots of FUNNY/SASSY stuff you'd want to buy for a friend. I spend several minutes each time I go there chuckling over some of the cards, signs and magnets, etc.
