It appears to be the epitome of fine dining with culture and ambiance.  What's the name of the restaurant?

I recognized the Awhanee Hotel right away.  What a fantastic place to eat in Yosemite.  They do make you wear a coat, though  ;-)   Great place....thanks.

Okay William - I can see it has been too long since I was in Yosemite and having a great dinner at the Ahwahnee!  Nothing beats sitting there and eating while you look out the window at some spectacular scenery!

William,

Wow, what a place to eat. What a splendor. They make you wear a coat? Well, as long as it is not a fur coat (LOL)

I thought this was the Ahwanee in Yosemite. It's an incredible place and I was fortunate to spend Christmas there with my family a few years back The Christmas dinner is a pageant all in itself!

Oh yes, the wonderful Ahwanee in Yosemite.  I would love to have Thanksgiving there sometime.  I understand that in order for that to happen, you need to make reservations 2 years in advance.  Those who have experienced it, tell me that it is a grand experience like no other!

I'm with Sally, I'd like a table by the window to take in the grandeur of the indoors along with the outdoor beauty as well!  Awesome photo, William!

Thank you all for your great comments on this photo. I ended up not even having dinner here as I already had dinner reservations at Mountain View Restaurant at the Yosemite Falls Lodge. It was excellent as I know the restaurant at the Ahwanee Hotel  pictured above is. I think it would be great if we had an annual 2 day ActiveRain conference among our members here. With a 160,000 strong, having a real estate retreat would be awesome. I 'll be sure to put that in the suggestion box.

I am thrilled you all liked the photos of my late summer trip to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. I think I have posted about a dozen or so photos and if you have any ideas what I can with the other couple thousand photos I took, be sure to let me know.:-)  There are 25 or so in Black and White, sort as a personal tribute to Ansel Adams ( imitation is the highest form of flattery). I made a slide show but haven't posted it anywhere. More of a personal thing, I did to please myself actually and see how what I did compared. Well, Ansel Adam's publishers have nothing to worry about. Nothing that unique in what I put together. I would need to go in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall to even come close to capturing what is so special and unique about this National Park.

Thanks again for your wonderful comments, one and all.
