This has been a busy Columbus Day Weekend...but it was overcast for most of Saturday & Sunday. Here are a couple of late day photos with a little sun on the mountains.I was pretty busy at the office today, lots of walk-ins while the Kancamagus scenic highway was jammed...but ran home to get some shots ( taken in Woodstock New Hampshire).

Lafayette & Liberty From my Kitchen Window.

Getting Dark at five O'clock.

This little brook (700 feet from the house) comes off the main branch of the Pemigewasset River.

Only the highest branches on this birch were getting the sun as it sets behind the western mountain range.

After my walk in the woods today, I took one last photo before the sunset...goodnight my Activerain friends

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous photos!  What DID the internet do before we Realtors decided to start uploading such amazing shots of our locales?  I mean, I know there are photo sites online, but we rock if anyone wants to visually get a peek at an area they might want to visit or move to.   Beautiful!  Thank you for sharing!

Courtney, I'm blushing a little, this is a labor of love I need to take a walk after work when I get home. I just try to bring a camera while I'm winding down from my day.

Crystal  I'm a big advocate of promotion by photo, Its a localism thing for me, I have an outside blog here on Activerain and promote my market area there. I'm having fun showing the world my corner, and enjoy the recreational offerings the White Mountains afford me (let your enthusiasm for your home show). Best of Luck, and welcome to the rain. Steve

Steve...We had a hard freeze the last couple of nights coupled with the dry weather this fall...most of my color is laying on the ground!

Steve - Those photos are fantastic. What a great view from your kitchen window. The only thing that makes me sad about this time of year, is the shorter daylight hours.

Judy...It is hard to come home to the dark waiting for you in the driveway, but the seasons will change whether I like it or not. I'll try to enjoy this fleeting time as best I can.
