Before the week is over, here is a quick linkroll of some free, online image editors. I use some of them regularly and while none of them can replace Photoshop - the mother of all desktop photo editors from Adobe - they are sometimes better suited for quick jobs like cropping, photo touchups, simple effects, mark up and sharing etc. This is just a quick link roll post, no reviews or tutorials, only a quick share. Try a few or try them all and decide which one you like.
Picnik - One of the first online image editor tools I started to use on a regular basis. E.g. for cropping images, it is pretty much the most simple to use one. Just upload the photo (even without login), crop and save it back to the PC. Done.
Aviary Phoenix - I really like this company. They have many distinct online tools for all different kind of manipulations of different media. They just rolled out multi-track audio editor tool called Myna which is simply amazing. Another very useful tool is their Firefox screen capture plugin, which makes taking a screenshot of a web page extra easy including capturing the full page, not just the visible area. It is a toolbar button so you don't even have to start another program. Once captured, the screenshot can be saved to the local disk or edited with Phoenix instantly.
FotoFlexer - Another good one with many options, including direct editing of your photos hosted on Flickr, PhotoBucket, Facebook etc.
Photoshop.com - This one is from Adobe - the maker of the #1 Photoshop software. Many options. Worth checking out.
Enjoy.
