I don't know if this is humorous Monday. However, I had such a crazy start to my day that I just had to share this, now that I can laugh about it.

My husband is fortunate to be one of those people who has a vacation day today.  I thought it would be nice to make him breakfast before heading off to pick up some signs and remove a lockbox for the property I am closing on tomorrow.

Okay, so here is where it gets funny; I cooked bacon, toasted an english muffin and was in the process of making some scrambled eggs when I decided it would be a good time to also make him a cup of espresso.  So here I was thinking about the eggs on the stove while making the espresso. Then, I started pouring the espresso into what I thought was the cup, but, instead I poured it over the english muffin and bacon.  So what can a girl do? I couldn't salvage this, so, I had to start all over.

Yes, sometimes you are better off not multitasking.

Jennifer, that is so funny!  I often do things like this... just too much on my mind!  Have a great week!

I pick the second plate of food the first one is really different.  Have a great day off with your husband.

Jennifer.. The second dish looks a lot more appealing. One I think your husband will eat.  When I first read "humorous Monday"... I quickly took a look at the first picture.  Lord knows where my mind was.. I saw something completely different initially.

I agree totally with Judi. Jennifer, you are not alone. Some times I can do multi-tasking and some days it will be a disaster.

Have a nice Monday.

Jennifer,

It is good to laugh at ones self as it helps to keep things in perspective. Especially for those of us that live with the illusion that we have it all under control.

Have a great week.

Jennifer-at least you poured the expresso on to the plate and not directly on the counter!  Hope you have a great week....focus :-)

That's funny. It happens to all of us.

I was told one time that I could do a lot of things well or could focus on doing a few things the best.

I can so relate, somehow I ended up with cayenne pepper in my coffee this morning. Not good, if it was cinnamon it would have been good buy cayenne.... not so much! lol

Jennifer, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time but I hope you were able to get a good laugh over it.  I just bought a new coffee maker that brews into the cup :)

Jennifer, that sounds like something that I would do, and I seem to be doing it more and more as times passes on.

Hi Jennifer...That makes me think of some of the things I have found in the refrigerator that don't belong there.  Yes, it has happened.  I think my husband does it, certainly not me!

Jennifer, All it takes is one distraction.  However, it did make a funny AR blog story to share with us!

Jennifer  I have a simple solution that works like a charm  I've convinced Arthur his breakfasts are exceptional.  Voila - he now creates the most fantastic breakfasts - even wearing his chef's apron.  I'm not allowed to make breakfast.  The simple name to describe it is "manipulation"  Use those God given female talents.  Karen

Judi I was not laughing when it first happened however by the time I made the second batch I could see the humor.  You too have a great week.

Mark my husband was happy I went ahead and made a second batch.  He had the day off I had to work.

Valerie I am now wondering what you saw....lol

Herb - Great advice, there was a time I thought I was superwoman; but with a little age I don't see it that way anymore.

Cindy - That might have been better, I could have cleaned up the counter without having to remake breakfast.

Jennifer, That's funny. I saw a lady on Vassar Rd today cutting her grass and stopping at her mailbox while the lawn mower was still running and getting her mail. NOW, that is multi=tasking.   BTW, thanks for your recent note. All is well = I'm slowly getting back to RE and blogging.

Yes, the second plate looks much more appealing. What a pain having to redo everything.
