Trunk or Treat

Saturday October 31st, 2009

6:00 - 8:00 PM

Garden Valley is a rural, mountainous community where there are few neighborhood that kids can Trick or Treat door to door.  Mom and Dad would have to drive their little goblins around the valley.  Local kids miss the interaction of Halloween celebrations in more urban neighborhoods.

Thus, the advent of Trunk or Treat, an easier, safer and more fun way for one and all to enjoy the Halloween festivities.   Adults challenge each other to come up with the scariest transformation of cars and trucks, turning downtown Crouch into a veritable "spook" parking lot.  Set up begins in the afternoon.  Festivities begin at 6:00 PM.  Bring lots of candy.  If you are really brave, you can sign up to be judge of the best car or truck costume.

Prizes will be donated by the Crouch Merc.

What a great idea!    Something like this would work in any rural or secondary home area.

Hello Li,

Yes the Trunk or Treat event has turned out to be a great idea.  It's hard to tell who has more fun.  The adults really get into converting their vehicles to spook houses.  The business district is closed off so the kids can wonder around safely.  A good time is had by all.

I noticed that your "assistant" Bobbi is a Jack Russell.  My sister has a Jack Russell that is 20 years old.  Her name is Emmy and she can still run circles around all of us.  What fun dogs!

Have a great Halloween!
