Good customer relations, is it still out
there?? I have heard of it's existence but I am starting to think it is a fond
memory of the past. With new technology and everyone meeting via web or
via phone, sending emails because they are faster than snail mail. When
was the last time you received a hand written thank you from a vendor or
client?? When was the last time you sent one out?? If you
have to think about it, it has been to long.
With so much competition in today's
marketplace you would think we would all be doing more of this. There are
several ways to say thank you in a personalize way. Sending a box of chocolate,
cookies, flowers (etc) with a handwritten note just to say thanks for working
with me and I value you!
If you know that one of your clients just
had a baby send them a gift certificate to a restaurant that delivers in their
area with a handwritten card that say congrats and have dinner on me!
Just something that screams hey I value
you and your business, this type of gesture will defiantly have your clients
thinking about you with warm fuzzy feelings
and that will help to create that sense of loyalty that we all strive for.
Just think about it are you more likely to
buy from someone who remembers your birthday, anniversary or just went out of
their way to be nice and make you feel special. Or would you rather work with
someone who had little to no contact with you and if they did contact you it was
via email. Who do you think you would choose??
I know that is not a hard one to answer.
So just think about it next time you hear of some news about a past client or
maybe you just had some extra time on your hands. Pick up the pen and paper or
even the phone and just say Thanks!!
