Wow, if you weren't at the Nellie Cashman award on 10/08/09 you want to put it on your calendar for next year. What is the "Nellie" you ask. It is the Washington Woman Business Owner of the year award that is put on by the Women Business Owners (WBO) group here in the Puget Sound region. All the candidates were amazing and this year's winner, Anne-Marie Faiola of Bramble Berry Inc. is phenomenal. Each candidate told their story of starting a business, growing it, having time for a personal life and making sure to still contribute to others. An amazing amount of love, open hearts and inspiration filled the room from the stage and the attendees.
The WBO is an organization consisting of a great group of women that provide mentoring, training, and networking opportunities to women at all levels of starting, running, and growing a business.

Guys or Gals, save a spot on your calendar in early October for next years "Nellie", you won't be disappointed. The event was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Seattle and the staff did an awesome job of taking care of the attendees. I am also a little bias as to the success of the event since the chairperson was my lovely bride, Debbie Leviton. But, Hey, if you can't brag about how great your Soul Mate is, what's a blog for. She couldn't have done it without an amazing team of volunteers. Heck, we even got to use the Knowles Team moving van. Way cool.
