Have you ever met someone for the first time and knew how they treated their clients? Well, yesterday, while on a family outing to Eugene, Oregon, I got to meet Jim Hale, a broker with ActionAgents.net and boy did he impress me!

Jim, wanted to meet us at about 3pm and since he knew I had my kids with me, he said he had something planned for my family and me. Now, after yesterday, I know Jim treats everyone of his clients the same.

THIS MAN DOES HIS HOMEWORK!

You see Jim, read my blog and he knew my kids’ names, what they like to do, and what they liked to eat and planned the next 3 hours around that! First he took us to Strike City bowling and my kids had a blast. He walked up to each of them, knew each of them by name and a little bit about each of them. (That was impressive!)

Then, after our ventures in bowling, he took us to a little old fashioned hamburger place that my kids loved! Not only was it filled with memorabilia, but it had great food on top of it! (The toilet seats lids were guitars and that was really cool, my son laughed at that one.)

If you are looking for an agent that clearly does his homework and will work hard for you, call Jim Hale, because I can’t see anybody going out of their way more for you. Jim really aimed to please and he succeeded!

Keith not a problem. Actually we were heading down there to visit my wife's fathers grave and a few months back we had made a connection through blogging through another blogger and just hit it off and had a lot in common. When we knew we were going down and I had mentioned it, he said we need to meet up and the meet up was born.

That is the meaning of excellence in service...it was about you and your comfort, and not about him.   Wow!

Todd-

Thanks for the great comments.   I had a great time, too.

Sam-

Hope my beard didn't shock you too much.  I was delighted to meet you.

Meesha-

Keep those book reviews coming to AR. Your skill at writing is a sure sign that homeschooling really works.

Nate-

I'm looking forward to reading yours, too.  Tell your dad Ill give him a rematch.

Natascha -

If we go bowling again, I want you on my team.  I will long remember how you say, "Bye, Jim!"

Paul, it was a great first impression and I can't imagine how his clients feel when they get that same service.

Li - Jim, really did impress me and it certainly was planned around my kids and our family.

Jim - You deserved every word and more! My kids all have smiles on their faces after reading your post and comments and now want to come back down.

Hi Todd!
At first it struck me that he found so much out about your family without ever meeting you...a little scary, to be honest. Then I read your comments and the fact that you had contact with him other than just blogging...whew! I would be worried if someone could learn that much about me on the internet!  He is truly a good guy!

Todd, are you planning to relocate? What a great story...if we would all just pay attention to what is important to other people, we would get out of ourselves a bit more. Which is a "good" thing. ;-)

It is so nice to hear good stories about professional sales people that know how to treat people.

Paula - I do realize that a lot of information is out there on my family, but I do realize that the same information is out there already. Public information is available on all of us if someone really wants to try to find it. I find that I get a lot of business because I'm open and honest online. Jim really impressed me though and my kids and they already want to go back.

Colleen - He is well deserving of them, he really is a good man and will work hard for your clients.

Teri - No, not planning to relocate. (Wife's father was buried there) I think God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason, now if we could just use them as intended and listen more than we speak we would be a lot better off.

Terry or Bonnie - Jim, really knew how to treat us and made what could have been a sad day, a great day that we won't soon forget.

Todd - I like Jim's posts and would have guessed much that you told us from how he writes and comments.  The great thing about blogging on Activerain is that the people that I have met in person have each been great to meet.  It always seems like after reading and commenting, talking a few times on the phone, etc. that it is like meeting an old friend when we actually meet in person.
