What is Google AdWords?
Google AdWords is a pay per click service on Google. In other words, you only pay when your ad is clicked, not each time it is displayed. The way it works:

You create ads and choose keywords, which are words or phrases related to your business. You can get keyword ideas free from Google here!

You set a budget:
You will want to set a daily budget, this is the total amount you want to spend per day. Once set, you won’t go over this each day.

You decide how much you want to pay per click for each keyword/phrase. How high you bid, along with many other factors (including your sites relevance to the keywords) determine how high up your ad appears.

When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. Now you're advertising to an audience that's already interested in you. You only pay for the ad when someone clicks on it - you are NOT charged each time it is displayed. (TIP - DO search for your keywords to see if you are coming up. DO NOT click on the ad once found, or you will be charged for it)

You attract customers
People can simply click your ad and be taken to your site!
