Lost the NVAR Board race, yet again!

I lost again.

Congratulations to the elected winners to the 2010 NVAR Board of Directors.

Merlin Smith- Remax

And "maybe next year" to the 4 that didn't make it (listed in no particular order):

Hum, anybody see a trend in the above named and companies that they are associated with?

Perhaps NVAR needs to drop the popular vote system and go to another system where the smaller companies (that represent 50% of membership) can be heard.

Even before completing your post I noticed that the "larger" companies got their people in. Nature of the beast, but still frustrating. Keep trying for all of us little guys. Thanks Frank! - Paul

Frank.....it comes as no surprise. Big companies, power and status quo. Innovation is lost in those with the "power" holding on to business as usual. It might behoove all agents to ponder that just as the house and senate remain the same year after year, problems involving the ordinary citizen are never really addressed. Real estate agents had some complicity in the market that developed and everyone of the large brokers had more than their fair share of influence regarding training and policies. Yet, we continue to give them the loudest voice.

There are many that appreciate your efforts in representing a different point of view. I am one of them.

How many times did Abraham Lincoln loose an election? I don't recall either, but it was more often than he won.

I'm sorry that you didn't get elected. You certainly know that I voted for you as one of my candidates and know many others who did as well.

There's always next year. Be persistent.

Sorry you didn't get elected - that's a bummer - and it does look like the REMAX crowd are dominating - that is really frustrating...
