I know why:

You're too busy clicking on the links and checking out these amazing sites.

My favorite?

FriendOrFollow

You just plug in your Twitter name and find out all the people who are not following you back, so you can opt to "unfollow" them, a very important tool as you garner close to 2,000 followers.   You know the 2,000 rule, don't you?

Mike:  Take the one in my example above.  Just click on the link, plug in your Twitter name and see for yourself.

Each one of the 100 are links to various sites you can use to maximize your Twitter experience.  Just click on each one of them and see.

Here are descriptions for the first 13:

1.     Yet another great way to display Tweeter.  Best to use on your Monitor; not so good as an iPhone application.

2.     Publish your FriendFeed to your website or blog, or to services you already use, like Twitter.

3.      Feed and track your blog on Twitter.

4.     Post from Anywhere to Anywhere.

5.     Twhirl is a social software desktop client, based on the Adobe AIR platform.

6.     Registering will allow you to update your Twellow profile and categories, add links to your other social media profiles, create an extended bio with whatever information and links you would like to add, and easily follow other Twitter users with similar interests or the ones in your geographic area.

7.     This is the application I use for my iPhone.  It allows for multiple profiles, it’s clean and easy to read and follow.

8.     Follow the latest.  Here you’ll find the news/trending topics of the hour.

9.     Crawl your Twitter stats and see you fare.  Find everyone who’s anyone on Twitter.  http://twitterholic.com/MirelaMonte/

10.    Find out what’s happening right now on Twitter – find the most talked about topics (but you can do that by simply typing in the subject in the search browser).

11.    A desktop client to manage your lifestream from Facebook & multiple Twitter accounts. Create groups and searches and view them any way you like.

12.     Twitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or "tweets" to the Twitter community website. The application's user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac's desktop.

13.      It lets you see where all your friends are, so you can spend more time with them. You can also discover places in your neighborhood and meet other locals along the way.

Hannah:  I am pretty excited about it, I know!  I just love Twitter.  I have a voracious appetite for knowledge and Twitter has been feeding me plenty.  In any given day I learn so much.  I love my iPhone, my connection to the wonderful world of Twitter!

If I am missing ANY sites, please let me know.  I think this is it, the whole enchilada.

John:  You'll have a blast with it.  You should definitely bookmark it or re-blog it.  I know that I will return to this post again and again.

Mirela-thanks for this list.  I just clicked on TwitterFriends and wow!! Who knew what was out there?  I'm not much of a Twitterer or TweetFreak but this might just push me one step further.  I'm reblogging in a few groups if you don't mind, just to share it.

Kathy, please re-blog!  I want to share this with as many of our AR members as possible.  It's very helpful.  I've used Twitter to bring readers to my blogs and websites.  It works like a charm.

Gary:  You're welcome!  Enjoy it!

See how re-tweetable you are (how often people re-tweet your tweets.  I was surprised to find out that I am at 99 percentile.  Fascinating!

Here is another huge favorite:

TwitterCounter

You can find such detailed stats on your Twitter performance.  It shows your Twitter history complete with graph and the whole nine yards.  It even predicts your Twitter future based on the past.

Your comment to Mike could be a blog as well. That was really helpful. I use twitter but not the the extent I should. I am coming back here to learn more.

Mirela,

I'm fairly new to Twitter. How do you use Twitter to bring readers to your blogs and websites? My AR posts go directly to Twitter, but I have no clue how I get followers. I think I have about 540 right now.

GOOD MORNING MIRELA!  I was just trying to figure out which Twitter apps are best for me and have been looking at TweetDeck and Twitterberry!  So I bookmarked this and will spend some time on it!  Much thanks for the early Christmas! -- Gabrielle

Mirela,

Amazing!  Now I can make better use of Twitter.

This is like having a Twitter coach.

Thank you.

I'm copying and saving.

Will check them out later in the day.
