Delray Beach, Florida: Florida Existing Home Sales Rising!
According to the Florida Association of Realtors, existing home sales are rising in Florida for 12 months in a row. As this is encouraging, we still have a long way to go says Cynthia Shelton, Florida Realtors President.
With the deeply discounted prices of existing homes, including short-sales and foreclosures, Florida has become a great place to buy. Cash buyers and investors are coming back to the market to take advantage of these "deals".
Potential home buyers should know that it's a good time to buy, with the abundance of inventory and low interest rates. Also, median home prices are dropping in Palm Beach and Broward counties because the homes that are NOT short-sales or foreclosures still have to be priced competitively for the market. Sellers are much more negotiable because of the competition of the banks. As banks are moving slower and slower each day on short-sales, homes that are not short-sale may be a great opportunity for some home-buyers to get in on a home and close in a reasonable amount of time.
