Please help find a home for Miranda!

Miranda is one of 37 black or black/white cats we currently have at HAWS. 95% of these cats are under the age of 6 months. Unfortunately October is not the month to promote black cats. So we are sending out this email to all the friends of HAWS and asking to you to spread the word to any other animal lovers like yourselves who are looking for a black or black/white kitty!

I hope Miranda finds a good home. I'd love to take on another pet, but Mufasa is not at all fond of other cats. :( She's fine with dogs, but other cats for some reason, she's a stinker.... Again, I hope Miranda and all of the other ones find a good home!

Chanda, I know what you mean...I have brought home 3 from the shelter I volunteer at and each week I go, I want to bring more furbabies home. No says my hubby! I believe often female cats prefer to live solo if they haven't been introduced to others in the past, so you are probably better off. Just bring in more dogs or small animals :-)

Gina, please don't take this the wrong way, but please stop going to Pet Stores! Adopt from a local shelter or rescue, don't patronize pet stores, who often get their animals from pet mills! you can buy food elsewhere too!! A few years ago i didn't know the difference,but now I know better. Please pass the word along to your animal loving friends!

Miranda is such a cutie. Surely there is a newbie witch that needs a familiar....

I will whisper up a spell to find her a forever home.

Toula, yes it is....currently there are almost 60 adoptables, with more in ISO and in stray holding areas...

Miranda is a cutie! My goodness your rescue group has a lot cats to find homes for! The younger ones under 6 months of age are easier to place. Best of luck in the adoptions of Miranda and the others. Thank you for all that you do to help the animals. Wishing more people were like you.

I will keep my eyes open for this little sweetie. A friend found a 4 week old kitten this time last year...she is black so we decided to wait until after halloween before we started trying to find her a home. She found a home and I took her in for her 1 year checkup yesterday...needless to say she adopted us.

Jackie, I know I keep telling you, but you are such a sweet soul!!
