AgentPlus got wet last week but we're dry and have a great new price!  Take a look at our latest comment for complete details!

Today's document solutions are pretty amazing with e-signature, email, pdf's, and the new MLS systems being deployed.  Believe it or not, the fax will stick around for years to come!  A new time saving tool for real estate agents is AgentPlus, a fax-to-email service for the times when you just need to be able to receive a fax while on the go.

AgentPlus gives you a local fax number in your area (there are over 8,000 areas to choose from).  Once you choose your number, faxes will be delivered to your email as pdf files; perfect for appraisals, contracts, inspections, etc.

AgentPlus is also a great way to turn all of those pesky paper documents into PDFs just by faxing them to yourself. No more paper copies!

Here's a tip: Combine AgentPlus with one of those great eSignature services.  This is a must have time saver!

There is no per-page cost unlike most other fax services and we developed AgentPlus in close contact with actual Realtors like yourself!  The cost to receive UNLIMITED faxes is no more than a few short lattes per month.  AgentPlus is secure, HIPAA/SOX compliant, and we are a member of numerous trust organizations.

AgentPlus works with ANY email client including:

iPhone
Blackberry
Outlook
Webmail systems
Gmail

We're offering ActiveRain bloggers 50% off by using coupon code "activerain" (without quotes) at checkout.  If you like AgentPlus, all we ask is that you tell your friends and co-workers.  If it doesn't work for you, we'll give you a complete refund!

I will look into this service. I use efax now and love it but Im always looking for better services with better prices.

Kevin, you're absolutely right about the price point!  There's no reason to pay a a lot for a great time saver!

Laura,

Thanks for taking a look!  AgentPlus is designed to receive faxes and send them as PDFs directly to your current email with no per-page cost.  Unlike other fax services out there, we've designed AgentPlus specifically for real estate agents on-the-go.

My current efax service is the same price and since my fax # is on my biz cards, it doesn't make sense to swap out for another company that has the same price.

Chris, thanks for posting!  We are working on an option to allow you to port your current fax number over to AgentPlus.  If you're refering to eFax, their lowest plan is priced at $14.13/month prepaid for 1 year and you're limited to 130 pages before you have to pay $.13/page.  Also, we are the lowest priced service in the email-to-fax market at $4.99/month (with coupon code).  Again, we don't limit the number of pages you can receive.

What is the difference between AgentPlus and MongoFax, both pricing and functions?

Thank you

do you have numbers for Canada?

RE: Canada numbers: No, just for real countries! Nah, just kidding. 1-888-MY-HOSER is available.

Scott, that's a good question!

Think of AgentPlus as your incoming fax machine without the machine.  You give out your local fax number and receive any faxes directly to your email as PDFs.  The cost is normally $9.99/month but only $4.99 with the active rain discount.

Mongofax lets you send faxes using a special coverpage to an email address of your choosing.  They charge $.25 per page.

Alexandria, I can't wait to see how we do!  This will be a great experience.

Roch, we WILL have Canadian numbers in  about a week.  Stay tuned!

Hello everyone!  So over the past week we had a severe service outage due to a construction accident within our data center (fire sprinklers went off).  We have since moved everything to a more "stable" (and dry) location.  I apologize for our website being down but fortunately everyone who had the chance to active their new fax number weren't affected. Unfortunately, those who signed up that last day will have to sign up again as we've lost your information.

We also have good news!!  We've changed our pricing due to a drop in cost by one of our vendors.  With the ActiveRain discount, AgentPlus is now only $40 per year!  Everyone who has signed up from ActiveRain has been credited accordingly.

$40 per year unlimited faxes is a pretty good deal. . but reliability is the most important thing for me. .how can you assure me that you will have the space to handle the amount of faxes that will come in?

RE/MAX 100 in Dunkirk Maryland has a Vendor that does this. I LOVE this fax to email capability. I gave up efax and some office  fax lines on the spot and have no regrets.

Could you explain E Signature Series in a comment? I am unfamiliar with that product.

5:37am • #22

Fernando,

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but I'm assuming you mean enough data storage space?  Once we receive a fax for you, it's automatically send to your email for delivery.  We don't actually store your fax on our servers for privacy reasons.

As for reliability, we never had an issue until last week when our building's fire sprinklers went off accidentally.  We've since moved to the most secure and stable data facility in Denver and are also placing fail-over equipment in Seattle.

Cheryl,

Thanks for the kind words on how our type of service works!  There are a few eSignature companies out there, one is advertised on ActiveRain.  Because you can fax paper documents to yourself with AgenPlus which automatically turns them into PDF files, it makes it easy to upload ANY document you may have in your arsenal to an eSignature service.

I hope this answers your question!

I use efax. One of the tricky and yet unresolved issues is that our MLS contracts currently require that we insert a clause stating that email transmission of documents is ok and binding on both sides. However, it still does not address a clause in the standard purchase and sale forms that stipulate that official document delivery is not actually met unless and until a copy of whatever is being sent is delivered to our brokers (since deals are technically broker to broker, not agent to agent).  We haven't really addressed this up here but it's technically how it's supposed to be done.

Don't know if the MLS will address this discrepancy with the advent of efax and the like but thought I'd throw that out there for you all.  ps. I wish I had known about this before about month ago when I just re-upped with efax for the $169 annual fee.

Got a quick question about your service... are we able to send faxes with the service also?

Thanks

12:20pm • #25

Casey,

That is good information to know!  I'm learning new things every day about the real estate industry which will help us fine-tune our services for all of you.

Ryan,

We thought long and hard whether or not to allow outbound faxing.  Here's the rundown of why we are an inbound fax service only.

1. Most agents (and everyone else) are using email with PDF attachments.

2. eSignature services send your documents via electronic form.

3. Security and privacy tracking of eSignature and email documents are much more trackable if there are any discrepancies down the road with a buyer/seller.

We developed AgentPlus as a low cost, green, and easy way to receive a fax directly to your email as a PDF.  This works great for appraisals, inspections, etc., that may only be in paper form.  Also, AgentPlus allows you to turn any other document into a PDF by simply faxing it to yourself!  This makes eSignature implementation easy for those paper documents.

Great pricing! I'm debating whether or not to sign up as I still have a need to send faxes. (there are some agents out there who don't email!! amazing huh?) How long is the discount ($40 yr) good for?

3:09pm • #27

Debi,

Well, we think you should sign up! ;)  AgentPlus is a great fit for those just needing an easy & mobile way to receive faxes.  The discount for ActiveRain members will be good pretty much forever.

Chris,

I went to my efax account to see if I could canclel anytime and get a refund. I noticed that they are advertising that you can transport an existing fax # to efax.  Can you do that with AgentPlus?  Also, when you had this outage, was your fax service down?  Third, how long have you been in business.

Casey,

We will be offering number portability soon and our fax service was not affected, just our web servers, new account creation, and internal email.  AgentPlus is a new name but we have been in the telecommunications business for 8 years and were a pioneer in business VoIP telephony in Seattle.

Casey,

I tried to cancel my eFax in August when it renewed.  They said they can't prorate a refund so I was just as well to keep it another year.  I have been unhappy with it because you have to have the efax viewer installed.  There have been times I'm at the office, and I can't open it because I am not authorized to download the viewer on office computers.

Chris,

Does your product have the same sort of issue with needing a viewer installed on the computer to open the fax?

Wow!  That's a great deal for incoming faxes.  I'm using MyFax right now, which is only $10/mo for 200 incoming pages and 100 outgoing pages.  It works fine for me, since I'm able to scan/email most of the time.  But, I definitely need outgoing faxes for Short Sales, since a few banks don't accept email delivery of documents.
