Girls (Mom's) Just Wanna Have Fun!

My mom will be 82 years come January 2010.

If I could give her the world ....I would.

Instead she wants to go to Vegas :)

Lana: I do believe it was...they always go every year for a reunion with the sisters (there are four left out of eight) My mom sneaks off and golfs with my cousin.

Celeste ~ Way to go and keep encouraging your mom. She will be her longer than you think if she can do what she wants.

Hi Sally, My Mom is the same age, and LOVES going to Vegas! She's the one who taught me how to play blackjack and craps! Whenever she visits me in NJ (she retired to California), she can't wait to go to Atlantic City! We always have a blast! So take Mom to Vegas for her birthday, and make some memories! Keep your eye out for my Mom, will you?

Sally..That reminds me of my MOM she would have been 95 this Nov 1..she passed away 3 years ago..She loved the casinos..She was a like a little kid in a candy store..Thanks for the memories

Celeste - what a great picture of your Mom! I can relate, my Mom would choose to go to Las Vegas also! We took my parents there about 15 years ago and then my mom again about 8 years ago and she still talks about it all the time and how she wants to go back. She even has a Las Vegas purse :)

Judy....do you really think she waited for my approval? lol...she's been going once or twice a year for many years.....she'd now addicted to the machines. :)

Seeing the photo of your mom put a smile on my face. Florence, Steve's mom lived in Nevada and frequented a place called Sharkey's and loved to be there to socialize. She taught me to play video poker. I do miss her!

So, you might not be able to give her the world, but you can take her to The Worldly Place. Enjoy.

P.S. Mom has a serious grip on that slot machine!

FYI: She still works at a country club four days a week and goes golfing every Monday. Spunky lady i tell ya!

Sally, mom looks like a real pro at that. The trick is to get the machine to give you more money than you give it :)

I think if she wants to go to Vegas, then she should go to Vegas. I just hope you're able to tell us about the trip after (and that what happens in Vegas doesnt' stay in Vegas). ;)

I love Vegas, and hope I am still going there when I am 82! She looks great- good genes obviously run in the family!
