Vacations are VITAL (Especially for Real Estate Agents)

Good News!  Vacations are VITAL to our health and well being.  We are knew it was good to get away, but I love the word VITAL.  Doesn't that mean I ABSOLUTELY MUST TAKE A VACATION?  According to Webster one of the definitions of vital is "Necessary for life"

Ok, I'm really getting into this.  Nobody but nobody could or would deny me anything necessary for life.  Right?  Oh boy, this is good stuff and there is more.  The longer the vacation the better--I've often heard the average American has so much stress that it takes at least 2 weeks to just start relaxing.  And if that is true for the average American, how long do you think it will take for a real estate agent?

If you are thinking of a vacation, think eastern North Carolina, perhaps Swansboro NC, there are lots of events in Onslow County NC as well as our wonderful NC beaches and water activities.

Oh well, enough of my blabber--- read the article that got me on this subject.

Are you convinced?

I'm a firm believer in vacations...long ones short ones it doesn't matter. Take as many as you can!

In Real Estate it is really easy to work 7 days a week.   When times are good - you don't have time for a vacation - when times are bad you feel guilty about taking one.  You are right though - we all need to take some time with ourselves and our families!

I love vacations!  I just came back from a week in NC with 10 friends (our 3rd annual trip) and I feel relaxed and ready to go again.

Hello Wayne,
You are soo right and that's what I do most weeks--I'm ready for a real vacation, not one that includes a "must attend event".

Cindy,
Where in NC did you go?  I'm on the coast of NC, you know.  We have many wonderful vacation areas in NC from the mountains to the coast.  Thanks for commenting.

Joe,
Thank you for your comment and yes, I think you should--3 months without a vacation, what a crime. LOL.

I just got back from two weeks of attempted vacation in NE PA.  I say attempted because there is no such thing as a true vacation when you own the business.  It is always in the back of your mind to make sure things are still operating.  But the change was much needed.

I am on my way in the morning... Just making sure I have all my ducks lined up... Cell phone is going with me though. It is so hard to let go sometimes.
