Claude --- you are right -- anyone buying now is really pushing the envelope to close in time for the $8,000 rebate.

Liz - It surely is a small window to get it done. No promises from me.
Now this is a great way to picture this last leg of the tax race! We're averaging about 60 days to close so it'd be a very very tight race. Of course cash would win the race every time!
Anna - Spoken like a true race fan Realtor(r) We'll do our darndest to see if we can "Limbo" under the Date. Limbo lower now... Of course cash works, but I doubt many $8k seekers have that much. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers !
Well I never thought I'd say this, but I feel for the mortgage reps who will be working their bums to the bone over the next 45 days!
Laura - I 'll bet they won't complain. Thanks for your input
Our preferred lender has told us that if a buyer is not already in a contract as of a few days ago, then they can't get it closed in time for the credit.
JL - It may be too late for some. I have a lender that told me Monday is his deadline. After that no promises. I am not making any promises
