Today I tried a project from HGTV.  A padded headboard for a bed. Got the directions online. Materials cost about $35. I didn't know how easy it would be and how great it would look. Am going to create several to use in staging projects. This one is for my guestroom. Really dresses up the room!

Linda, I have several in my inventory.  Something we should discuss when we meet.

This is a great low cost way to do a headboard. We have several too. You may want to do a search here on AR for some other low cost ideas too.
