Karen, I think I prefer the look of the original Courthouse...can we say we've really "progressed" in terms of building designs?  Thanks for the post.

Karen, the photos show how Prince William County has grown over the last 187 years. Nice Photos! Thanks.

Karen, I'm with Craig on this one.  The new modern industrial look of the courthouse is not as visually appealing as the old style.

I've actually had a couple of court cases over there at Prince William County Courthouse.

No question - I like the first two better! Thankfully they did not destroy the old ones as they moved on!

Karen

Beautiful brick building. If buildings could talk it would have some amazing stories.

Debi  Both old buildings have been restored

  • The first is now a fully furnished museum as it would have been in 1822
  • The Victorian ahas been restored on the outside and the interior is in use as the Departmrent of Social Services

Karen, one case I was representing a purchaser when some blinds and curtains did not convey and yes, we won a judgment which was ultimately paid a week later for some $3500.

The second case was an uncontested divorce hearing for a client.

Karen,

That's a little history!  Wonder what's coming next?

remarkable that through all the transitions the basic brick construction remained the same.  Nice pictures, thanks.
