Donna - I suspect this will shift some in the coming months as we see more changes in the Wall Street brokerages and similar companies. But I wish WE could say we were 24th. We vary from 2nd to 3rd with Florida. :)

Jeff - I sure do hope so.  It's so disheartening to see the number of filings increasing across the country.  California is holding in the #2 spot for this month and for the 3rd quarter along with Nevada and Arizona posted the most foreclosure activity.

Donna, I only wish we were #20 something instead of vying with Jeff's state for the top spots.

Sharon - Florida is sitting in the #4 spot for this month.  I sure do hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for the so many states that are still struggling with the continual rise in foreclosures.

Donna that puts us in the middle of the pack, so we could be doing a lot worst.

Where do you get the data from Donna? It is Realtytrac? I am curious how Massachusetts ranks.

George - We sure could considering what other states are still experiencing.  At least over the past few months Connecticut has been dropping further down the list.

Bill - I did get this info from Realtytrac on two different pages.  Here's the link to the first one.

http://www.realtytrac.com/contentmanagement/pressrelease.aspx?channelid=9&accnt=0&itemid=7706

If you go the the Realtytrac home page scroll down to New! Information Centers and click on Press Room under News and Trends Center it's where you'll find that link and information

The link to the second page is one like this which is for the current trend in Mass for foreclosures.

http://www.realtytrac.com/trendcenter/default.aspx?address=MA

On the left side menu under Tools & Services is where you'll find the link for that page.
