Hi Greg and Mary, That's my daughter and granddaughter. Yes, it's the precious Emma. I miss them so much.

Oh Shirley, I'm sorry you are missing them, it's really hard to have distance between our daughters and granddaughters, I bet they miss you too.

She lives in the Northwest, Greg. My heart is going to break if I don't see them soon. Seriously. It has been a year since I was up there. That's when I called you from Washington state; I had someone who was thinking of moving to San Antonio or Houston but he decided to stay in California instead.

It is hard, Mary. I was sipping a late night glass of Chardonnay, thinking about how much I miss them when the line from that old CW song came to mind. "I'm thinking tonight of my blue eyes..." I hope they miss me, too.

I know they miss you just as much.

My family is out of state, most of them. Missing someone and feeling that tug in your heart for them is just part of life. I'm sure they know how much you love them as well.

Thanks for sharing a photo of your daughter and granddaughter. It may time to pack up and go for a visit. We are lucky that our son's and family are close.

Boy....that's so rough. I would find it hard not to be living by my kids, but God calls each to their own destiny. You're blessed to have them. Good pic Shirley!

SHIRLEY: What a lovely daughter and granddaughter. I know how it feels to have your children and their children living a distance away. I have my firstborn son and his family living 19 hours away in SC. I missed them as you do. I have not seen them for a year also, They came and visied me last October.

They are both beautiful and I hope you will get to see them soon. Mine live on the other side of town and that makes me sad, but I am really lucky to have them nearby.
