This Minneapolis home sold in 39 days after staging by Showhomes. This beautiful home had been on the market for 1.5 years before it was staged. The owner and Realtor beleive the staging is what made the difference and we agree! like many homes, the interior of this home was wide open space and when vacant buyers spent very little time in the home. With nothing to help them undersatnd how the space could become the next chapter in their lives, they just blitzed the home. See for yourself:

 

Wow! I know I would spend more time in the staged version of this home. I particulary like that it is neutral. Although this home is in Minneapolis, it could be anywhere. This same decor would work in many cities.

Thanks, Pat - these days staging the entire house is a must. When we look at our stats compared to vacant home comps, it is staggering. Since our fees are mostly pay-at-close, we're getting a lot of business these days.

Excellent job!  Wish we could see the other rooms as you mentioned whole house staging.  You also mention pay at close and wonder how that works.  What happens if the agent loses the listing before the home sells?

I would love to hear more about this type of agreement as I'm open to anything that will bring in more business.

Thanks, Melody -the staging contract is with the homeowner. We don't like it when homeowners switch Realtors but switching doesn't affect the contracts in place. We always stage the entire house. Because we use live in home stagers (managers) the home is both occupied and staged and makes a big difference in sale time and price.
