It's Friday, October 16th and I'm reflecting back on this week in real estate.
The most often asked questions that I fielded from my agents have involved the first time buyers tax credit; is it too late to meet the November 30th deadline, do you think it will be extended, if so what will it look like, when will we know and so on.
My answer is that all we know is what we currently have. Personally, I believe that it will be extended, but there are several bills out there with significant changes from what we currently have. Any bill would have to get through the House and Senate. That may be a problem given the size of the federal budget deficit. The first time buyer credit has helped our local markets in Toledo, Perrysburg, Sylvania and throughout northwest Ohio.
Again...all we know for sure is what we have! Get those first time buyers out of your car and into a house in the next few days or it just may be too late!
