Does your Realtor understand the technical design of an effective blog?
Does your Realtor have a website that is updated and maintained with current information?
Will your Realtor take a virtual tour and publish it on multiple sites?
Will your Realtor place your home on You Tube?
Does your Realtor truly understand the importance of Internet presence? Ask your Realtor to explain why advertising on the Internet is important?
How did you find this article? Does your Realtor know how to develop keywords that people will be able to search for to find more information about your home? It is not an accident, it is intentional Internet marketing.
Here are some red flags. They can't answer any of these questions. When you ask about anything technology related, they seem unsure how to answer your question. Be weary of a marketing plan focusing on less effective methods from the past such as newspaper print, direct mail, magazines, and flyers. The National Association of Realtors' stats show that print ad has only a 3% effectiveness rating. You are hiring someone to sell your home, you are entrusting this person with most likely on of your largest assets, so why not hire someone that is going to be effective and in line with industry trends. It is only going to benefit you.
