Earlier today I wrote about the difficulties of inspecting a house where storage and clutter is everywhere. That link is here. When a place is like that, certain areas just cannot be inspected. One thing that I try to do, every home, is check all heat ducts to make sure that heat comes out the supply registers when the furnace is running. I do the same thing with electric heaters.

When you are over 50, and not that eager to be bending all the time, there is a great tool that does the job of checking for heat from a standing position. A laser thermometer can be used to beam down into those areas under desks, under beds, etc.

It is one handy device.

This is so true I think a lot of us could do with a little less-we never realize just what we have until we get ready to move and have to get rid of a lot of it.

It is important that inspector do a good job. They are relied on and should do all possible to make sure the inspection has been conducted throughly. Thank you for providing yet another helpful tool to use.

So my question today is how much does a laser thermostat cost?  I may want one to argue about how hot or cold it is.

Gotta agree.  There's nothing like having a job where you get to play with all the cool toys and in everybody else's house.
