Giant trees in the Bedford and Davenport neighbourhood

Some of these trees are well over 100 years old ... and although I was initially 'shooting' the trees, the little dog caught my attention.  He was just so happy, chasing that tiny ball.

Go ahead Fred, rub it in, LOL
As you can see, we have trees ... some of them are as old as 260 years ... and they are labelled "heritage" trees, and we can't cut them or even 'hurt' them.

They also tower well above the snow. :)   I bet you they're taller than your trees.
LOL

Fred, were you here when the army pulled us out from under the snow? :P

Sylvie,

We have bigger trees here, sorry. But we get snow now too.

Sylvie, Those trees are BEAUTIFUL.  Just majestic.  I'm sure that dog feels very happy wandering around there.

Sylvie - century trees used to line our property in Uxbridge and the only time we regretted having them was after the leaves had fallen ... raking up the leaves became a month long chore

Terry, we have bigger trees than this here too ... and why are you being sorry you have bigger trees there?  You should have bigger trees there. :)

Liz, I was parked down the street waiting for someone, and was taking the photos from inside the car, but when I was driving through the street, it was just incredible.  About 10 minutes from me .... but my house would fit inside one of these living rooms. :)

Yes, Laura ... and I would love to listen to all the stories.  Can you imagine?

Marc, the weather, the people, the homes, traffic ... (can you imagine rush hour 200 years ago?) :)

Carole, I haven't seen a happy dog like that, ever.  He was having a ball, literally. :0  I was exhausted just watching him run back and forth.

Jo-Anne, we have bigger trees around the City, but I am not often parked near a tree that's wider than my car. :)

Kathy, I remember when my sisters lived there.  They complained about the same thing.  Their lawn was always covered.  They didn't have trees for a while, but now both live in homes that have MANY huge trees again and they're complaining again. :)  One is also complaining about the huge nuts that fall on the cars all the time ... but up until about the Fall, they just love them.

Sheldon, from where I was sitting in the car, I could barely see him, but he was certainly having a ball.

Hi Sylvie, I'm assuming this little guy's master wasn't too far behind him?  Or did you go out and get a dog after all????

Jenny, the owner was 10 steps ahead, and the dog would run back, get the ball, and bring it to the owner, who would kick it back again ... and they did this for the 35 minutes I was sitting in the car, waiting....  he was lovable, and almost convinced me ... but no, no dog yet. :)
