Most would like to think that most homes in Hollywood have a "history" of some sort of a famous person who once lived in them.  Truth be told, most that did have a "history" have been either torn down completely or remodeled beyond recognition.  This house, however, is one of the originals: almost 100 years old and was home to a famous 1930's Starlet by the name of Helen Twelvetrees.

Hellen Twelvetrees

However, the way her past home had been marketed by FOUR different Brokers/Realtors over the past TWO YEARSI think would make Ms. Twelvetrees roll over.  Realtor # 5 was the smart one and called upon Platinum Home Staging, Inc. to make this home shine like a brand new listing.

You really did a great job in showing the true potential and purpose of all the rooms.  It is a beautiful house and that really comes through with what you did!

Great staging.  I think Ms. Twelvetrees would be pleased with what you have done with her home.  You added the"glam" back to this glamorous home.

Thank you, Barb. The living room was one of my favorite transformations also.  Here are before / afters of the same room from another perspective:

Before Home Staging     Platinum Home Staging, Inc.

Thank you also, Kristine & Kathy - the only room that had the rightly purposed furniture was the living room.  The office was being used as a bedroom (but with no closet), the other 2 bedrooms were a yawn, the patio furniture didn't match.... it was quite a feat!

I'm glad you saw the "glam" back in the home, Wanda.  We used a lot of mirrors and mercury glass to add sparkle, although they don;t come through well in the pictures

Great job defining the rooms Connie.  Your staging has made sense of the space.  I especially like the living room transformation.

Okay!  This makes the 3rd post in 24 hours where the dining room wasn't displayed as a dining room and a stager had to come in to change it back!

I officialy name this "BRING BACK THE DINING ROOM" week!

Awesome work as always! Miss Helen is proud!

When I grow up, I want my staged homes to look like yours!   I saw the slideshow of this somewhere but couldn't comment.  Gorgeous job!

That's a very powerful transformation Connie.  I'm sure that you'll be sharing the SOLD information with us soon.  The previous agents should be embarassed for what they let transpire.

What a stunning job, Connie! Not only is the staging gorgeous, I love your style of presenting rooms with questions and "obvious" answers to them.

You are so welcome, Rita! =D

This was a treat, Annie.  And since the house has been on the market for SO-O long, the Sellers were willing to do everything we asked them to do - which was a double treat!

Thanks, Cathy, - bringing back the glam "Hollywood style" one house at a time ;)

Thanks, Michelle H., The Living Room is the first room you see as you enter the house so I wanted it to really have that WOW factor.

Wow, Kathy, I'm honored - thank you!

LOL - I was thinking the same thing, Karen! In fact I think that I might have to bog that idea and invite others to post their pics.  I can think of at least 5 homes I have done where the dining room as NOT the dining room. Mind if you can be my, Muse?

Beth, you are so cute.  You're are extremely talented yourself.  What I find fun, is that we all have our our "styles" of Staging.

You would think that the rooms would be obvious, Debby, but you'd be amazed how many rooms in homes that are for sale that have nothing to do with the furniture that are in them.

Thanks, Dennis, I so glad you like it.  Staging does work!

I'm hoping, Michelle M., keeping my fingers crossed for a fast sale. =D

Thank you, Chris! It was very fun & a lot of hard work.

Don't you just LOVE that wall bling, Kathleen?!?!?  Like icing on a cake, earings to match the dress: I special ordered it for my inventory specifically for this Staging & was drop shipped the day of installation. (Think it's going into MY home next ;)

Connie:  Sometimes as a professional you come across a customer or bit of work that makes what you do more fun or worthwhile.  I can only imagine that this property fell into that category!

Interesting and fun post.  Thanks!

Connie - this transformation is amazing and highlights the architectural features of the home -- and still maintains some of that Hollywood glamour.  Fun project I'm sure!
