Home Staging a 100 Year Old House - and a Nod to the Present

Most would like to think that most homes in Hollywood have a "history" of some sort of a famous person who once lived in them. Truth be told, most that did have a "history" have been either torn down completely or remodeled beyond recognition. This house, however, is one of the originals: almost 100 years old and was home to a famous 1930's Starlet by the name of Helen Twelvetrees.

However, the way her past home had been marketed by FOUR different Brokers/Realtors over the past TWO YEARSI think would make Ms. Twelvetrees roll over. Realtor # 5 was the smart one and called upon Platinum Home Staging, Inc. to make this home shine like a brand new listing.

You really did a great job in showing the true potential and purpose of all the rooms. It is a beautiful house and that really comes through with what you did!

Thank you also, Kristine & Kathy - the only room that had the rightly purposed furniture was the living room. The office was being used as a bedroom (but with no closet), the other 2 bedrooms were a yawn, the patio furniture didn't match.... it was quite a feat!

I'm glad you saw the "glam" back in the home, Wanda. We used a lot of mirrors and mercury glass to add sparkle, although they don;t come through well in the pictures

Great job defining the rooms Connie. Your staging has made sense of the space. I especially like the living room transformation.

You would think that the rooms would be obvious, Debby, but you'd be amazed how many rooms in homes that are for sale that have nothing to do with the furniture that are in them.
