Very recently I showed a house. Mind you new contruction, no appt was nec. to show it. I used my lockbox key and just went in. Downstairs everything was as I expected - almost perfect. On the way up to the second floor

we entered the master bedroom. Lo and behold there was sheet spread out on the floor and candles all the way arounf it. The closet door was open and there we found men's clothes hanging. It was just very eeeeeeeery. Can you picture it , and have any of you ever run into anything like this? I sure would like to know. Needless to say we didn't stay just slammed the door shut and boogied.

Oh my god!  Does someone live there or were they just using the place?

Sounds like a possible squatter if the rest of the home was empty.  Creepy!

I have seen this (without the candles) and it was just a worker who was camping out there day and night to finish the final details.  If the electricity wasn't on yet, that might explain the candles.  Also had it where the contractor/owner was trying to pretend he lived there for a refi loan.  Razor in the bathroom, a few items here and there including a mattress on the floor.  Just trying to fool the appraiser into thinking it was "owner occupied".  Pretty cheesy.

Very Strange. Good reason to be careful and alert. You never know what we are going to walk into.

I caught a teenage couple in a vacant home once. The sad part is they wanted to be caught! Didn't buy that house!

Monica. The house was new construction and nobody had occupied or bought the house. I sure did not try to stick around.
