LARRY: Thanks for visiting. Each Halloween John and I would dress up for neighborhood parties after we had gone around the block with the boys. One year we were trees with a clothes line between us with clothes (we won best for originality) I wish I had that photo.

Very colorful outfits.  Looks like they are ready for Hawaii.

Looks like Halloween is a fun time for you.  I was always so stressed out trying to get 4 kids ready to go out and also getting ready for the kids to show up at my door.

CHARLES: These were original Hawaiian clothes and leis from our trip to Hawaii for the NAR convention in '78 We were reminiscing our fabulous trip. We actually went back in 1984 with the boys and my parents. Hawaii a favorite place of ours. I can still smell those plumeria bushes.

JENNY: We love Halloween. I would actually make a scary room (the breezeway)with music and ghosts and skeletons that the children would pass through to get their candy. I would be dressed in costume myself.  We had great neighbors that did the same so our street became the scary street.

For me the best part about Halloween is after the kids stop coming, I get to keep the rest of the candy, Hmmmmm!

Kathleen, great shot of the two of you together.  You both look like you were born on the islands and not dressing up for Halloween!  How special that you could return with your kids and parents.

KATHY: Halloween has always been a favorite holiday for me  even when I was teaching we would celebrate Halloween in the classroom with making our own costumes (5th graders had clever ideas) and having a party

SHARON:Thanks for your sweet comment. I wanted us to look authentic. I am so glad we went back and took my parent for their 40th anniversary, so many said why don't you wait for their 50th and I said no we are going now why everyone is in good health. I am so glad we went because my Dad died unexpectedly on June 10 1986. 2 years later. We need to enjoy life now, this day, we never know what tomorrow will bring.

Happy Halloween! I remember when you dressed up as Hawaiians and when you went over to Mr. Cahee's house. I also remember when they like to scare the kids. One year Mr. Cahee had a coffin in his yard and was Dracula. Very scary when your under 10years old and you walk up the walkway and he raise up out of the coffin.

MARK: Thanks for commenting. Jerry Cahee loves Halloween as much as I do/  We always had fun at his neighborhood parties. and I do remember that coffin he built one year and laid inside to frighten the trick or treaters.

Great  photo! You guys know how to have fun! Halloween has always been such a fun time for our family. When the kids were little, we did it up. Now I love seeing our children "making memories" with our grandchildren!

I love the clothes line idea.  That's hysterical.  Had to be difficult not to knock someone over.

Dick and Dixie: It is true. We see our older son in SC with our grandsons  (3 and 5 ) dressing up with their Daddy and Mommy, as we had done for many years as our sons were going up . Our love of Halloween is being carried on as a family tradition.

DEBRA: Thanks for your compliment. I have to admit I miss doing it too. If I lived closer to my grandsons I would definitely dress up again.

JANE: We were joined together as they say in marriage vows 2 as one. Happily after the awards were presented we were unroped and could enjoy the party as individual trees, Actually the clothes line stayed attached to John, since he was tall enough to let it just hang down. We were awarded the funniest and the most creative.
