Cumberland County Schools' sixth annual Reading Rocks. All 87 county public schools were represented by students, parents, teachers and staff. In parade-fashion, dressed to brave the weather in warm jackets and sweaters to make the 11/2-mile trek through downtown to promote the merits of reading and literacy.
In the sprit of participation, my daughter and I spent a little time together walking. It was a truly enjoyable witnessing the students and thousands of people be so excited about Reading!
