Thornapple Pointe Golf Course Fall 2009 Grand Rapids MI

This was captured yesterday playing golf at Thornapple Pointe Golf Course on the

Thornapple River in Grand Rapids Michigan.  My friend, Paul, and I got in a quick 18 holes in the

afternoon.  The golf course was pretty open which left me time to snap a few shots of our local

scenery.   This little maple is putting on quite a show!

The bright orange leaves on the foliage almost make it look like a wall of flames descending down that hill side.   It makes for a stunning picture.

Here in New England they think they're the only place with "foliage". I knew there were trees in other places!

Simply stunning... such vibrant colors!  San Diego doesn't have much of an autumn unless we head up to the mountains, so this picture makes a trip worthwhile!  Thanks for the post!

Susan: We do have color all around us this time of the year but winter is coming. I see San Diego in a few weeks for NAR. Are you going to attend?

You made the right decision to stop, that is an awesome shot and sometimes golf has to take back seat to nature.

Caron: This year the colors seem to be better than prior years. As soon as the rain and wind comes we will have to start raking.

Diane: We are expecting some storms this week and most of the leaves will be on the ground but it has been a good color year. Thanks for the comment.
