How often, like me, have you gotten a (or a series of) text from a client wanting to know more about a property or properties? And how often is that text received while you are on the road or with another client? It's very easy to forget about that vital text if you are busy...
And how often are you browsing the web on your Blackberry between tasks and find an amazing article that would be perfect for your blog, facebook, or twitter but know you won't remember the address later?
Yet another "trick" I have stumbled across is the "Forward As" feature on the Blackberry. When you receive a text you need to address (or research) but do not have time, select the text and then the "Forward As" feature. Choose email, and send the text to your email inbox! You can then review it later, along with the address of who sent it to you, making it easy to keep track of and manage tasks you need to follow up on.
Same is true for web pages...right below the history and refresh features on the browser menu is "Send Address" which is the same concept and sends the web address of the article you are browsing straight to your email.
I found a great article this morning while still in bed (yes I sleep next to my blackberry, LOL) perfect for my twitter/facebook about an ex Chicago Bears player selling his mansion--especially relevant during the Bears game today. Surely if I didn't forward the page to my email I would have forgotten the idea to post it, or spent time searching for it again. SO USE THESE FEATURES IF YOU HAVE A BLACKBERRY--THEY PAY OFF!
Oh and if you'd like to see the article, or follow me on twitter: twitter.com/nicklibert I will follow you too!
