15 Comments on Speechless Sunday (almost): I Gotta Tiger by the Tail!
My aunt had a Pekingese dog who used to flip out whenever she heard the music introducing the skit w/ all the hillbillies lazing around w/ their bloodhound - she would freak anytime she saw dogs on TV, and she soon recognized the music that had a dog featured (she'd also go crazy over the chuck wagon dog food commercials.)
I always loved the Kornfield "pop up" jokes, and the music of course....I also liked the announcer for KORN radio news.
Karen, I love your story, how cute is that? Fun stuff!
Hi Wanda - my grandmother watched it and I remember that there was some bit, "You'll never hear one of us repeatin' gossip; so you better listen close the first time!"
Gloom despair and agony on me
Deep dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luc I'd have no luck at all

Sara, That is a classic! I love it!
Karen, I knew that song word for word! Ha-ha! Thanks for that!
I always loved Buck's red white and blue guitar.
And how about I'm a pickin and I'm a grinning?!
Wanda, cute picture and yes I remember Hee Haw
Thanks Debbie, Hee Haw was a funny, funny show! I wonder if that's where Jeff Foxworthy got some of his inspiration...
I am afraid to say..I do remember hee haw..I actually loved that show..when i was a kid
I'm not afraid to say it - I loved the show as a kid, and I love finding clips on YouTube now as a nostalgic adult.
Hey Wanda, too funny! You have a cat named Hiway and we had a pup called Freeway! Yep, the Kornfield wins hands down!
Wanda, it looks like two tigers in that picture. Very cute, thanks.
Konnie, It was fun to watch!
Karen, I'll go there as well to look up skits as well!
Al & Peggy, I have a feeling your dog and my cat would have gotten along well! The Kornfield was a favorite too!
Gabe, I guess you're right about that! Happy Monday!
I used to have a crush on the twins Jim and Jon Hager. I just Googled them and found out that Jim died in May 2008 and Jon died 8 months later at age 68. How sad.
