The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.Toys for Tots

The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

It's amazing ow just one toy can make the difference in a child's life!

The Low Country Toys For Tots program is almost ready to get into full swing.  If you know of any family needing this holiday help, make sure that they apply for the assistance.

The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program will begin its annual sign up for families in need of holiday assistance beginning October 19 - Nov 7th, 2009.  The sign up this year will be held at Northwood's Mall in space F-5, across from Chic-fil-a, at the Sears mall entrance.  Sign up will be Mon-Fri 9-5 and  Saturdays from 12-5.

In order to sign up , you will need to bring the following:

Toys for Tots is an awesome thing the Marine Corps does for our children.  Thanks for the heads up that they are starting to accept donations.  (For those wanting to make their money go further, Playskool has $75 worth of coupons on their website you can print out.  The items range from $3 off on a $10 item to $10 off on a $40 item.)
