Sally-I even managed to earn my water rescue certificate but I don't think anyone should count on me to save them ;-)

Are those fishing rods? You fish from these things too?

Kaate-I know days are numbered for water adventures and I'm when I walk along the river I'm wistful.

Terry-absolutely you can fish from a Kayak. Wouldn't want to try it on the open sea but along the river if you find yourself a quiet spot you might just reel in a bite to eat.

Wait, do I see the sun? You saw the SUN yesterday? I forgot what it looked like until this morning.... :)

Cindy: Nice contract of the bright colored canoes and the dull color of the Northern Virginia grass in fall.

Derek-a peek of sun but the photo was from a couple of weeks ago when we did have sun. I'm off for a walk in the wild life refuge to enjoy a few minutes of today's sunshine.

Chris Ann-paddling trips are just about done for the year.

Hi Cindy, Love those Kayaks. Wonderful picture. When I was at Lake Tahoe, the kayaks seem to be everywhere on the lake. Having done a good bit of canoeing years ago, I was tempted but as it turned out, I ended up just taking pictures of others enjoying the pleasures of on the water.
