ART FOR AFRICA - FUNDRAISER

Art for Africa is an annual Art and Cocktail event that support Global Relief and Development Partners' Social Entrepreneurship Program.  This program benefits Rwandan entrepreneurs.

You can have fun, while at the same time support the artists throughout Toronto and surrounding neighbourhoods.

The fun will start at 6 p.m., and will end at 9 p.m, on OCTOBER 21st - at The SHAMBA Foundation, at 48 Yonge Street, Suite 1200 (at Yonge & Wellington).

Space is limited, so buy your tickets now.

You will have a chance to meet the local artists, and hopefully even pick up a beautiful piece of art.

For additional information cal 416-888-8481.

I hope this turns out to be a well attended event.  Africa has a lot to gain by their exports being more mainstream in North America.

Greg, I love their art, and many people here do too ... and we have a large African community here, so hopefully, it will be a sold out 'show'.

Sylvie - don't you just love the colours in African Art ... This group appears to be similiar to GRID which is supported by many here in Uxbridge.

Sylvie, It sounds like a fun event -- for a very good cause.  I hope it's well attended this year.

Me too, Carole.  It's definitely worth the price of admission.

Sylvie - Uxbridge also has a group that sends bikes to Malawi and has helped set up bike repair shops there as well.

Kathy, that's great.  I didn't know that.  I've given away so many bikes. I wish I had known ... but now I do, and next time the neighbourhood is rounding up bikes, I'll let you know. :)
