The Department of Defense is the nations largest consumer of energy. So it is no surprise that in a time when environmental issues are paramount that they need to start making some energy efficiency changes.

An impressive solar-energy array at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., is saving money for the Air Force and decreasing the service’s reliance on fossil fuels.

This is a very very encouraging trend and I hope the whole country catches on. In the end the economic engine that is America was fueled buy abundant labor and cheap energy. We need to get back ther to make us a power house again

Adam, check out what the DoD has done in Ft. Belvoir. I believe they built the first LEED Platnium building. It's a great program and will help save a lot of energy. Thanks.
