I received a Google Wave Invitation on October 9, 2009.  Just 10 days ago.

I'm really liking Google Wave.  But in order to put Wave to use in my business, I need invitations that I can share with my associates, office staff, and closest confidants.

So, I check Wave each morning for an invitation wave.. but so far I am still unable to invite others. Google says they are scrambling to increase capacity.

So, I continue to eagerly monitor news of Google Wave developments on Twitter.

In order to facilitate the "monitoring", I built a simple little web site, which is nothing more than an aggregation of twitter feeds from a few core members of the Google Wave crew.

Thanks for the web site, are you putting in the posts from here in the group you started?

I get asked to give someone a invitation too, but I only got mind.

Missy, http://gwavenews.nelanews.net/ is a mashup of tweets (via Twitter's RSS feed button) from only 3 core Google Wave team members:  Andy (AKA Doctor Wave), Stephanie, and Lars.

Since I'm just monitoring for news of invitation waves being generated, I didn't want to confuse the issue by including too many other posters.

I made a list and checked it twice; 25 invitations would cover my office staff, associates and core confidants.  Then hopefully a second larger wave of invitations would allow me to take care of my AR/FaceBook/Twitter friends that have been pleading so eloquently.

OK, Cheryl, excuse my ignorance.  This is the first I've heard of google wave.  I checked it out via the introductory video (where they first rolled it out).   But, to use it do you need a special invite?  How are you currently using it?

Lora, Yes, at this point you need an invitation to join.  (Some folks are buying them on eBay  :-))

I'm currently using it, but I'm kinda limited until I can also get my core people on wave.  My plan is to eventually be able to use wave as a way for all the associates and office staff to communicate with each other.

For now, though,  you could search public waves in your area, and see who's there.  The search query would look like:   with:public rockland

Robin,

What I really need now is for the good folks at Google to pump a couple hundred invitations into my account that I can share with all my friends and co-workers.  :-)

Still waiting for my invite....

Of course, they gave me the new Map app for Android to drool over also. I think I'm becoming a googleoid.

Caution: CAT BLOG AHEAD

Including random thoughts on life, art, business, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate.

What is a CAT BLOG?

According to Seth Godin: "Cat blogs are for, by, and about the person blogging. A cat blog is about your cat and your dating travails and your boss and whatever else you feel like sharing in your public diary."

Well, I am the boss, my dating years are behind me, but I do love my cats.

Enjoy!
