Not All Realtors Are Created Equal
During my prospecting travels I meet so many people. As nice as they are, they ALL want to tell me, what they call, horror stories.
Lack of communication is the big one. Most tell me they had to hunt their agent down with days going by and no return phone call. If they had an open house, a week will go by before they hear any feedback about it from their agent.
Refusal of open houses. Yes, most of us feel open houses are for us to get referrals. The odds of getting an offer at an open house is slim to none. I feel it's also another avenue to market the house.
Having parties in vacant homes. My brain almost blew up with this one!
The list goes on and on.
Most of us are good and we always have our clients best interests at heart. We communicate effectively with them. We give advice on the pricing of their homes. If they take that advice great! If not, then the home will just sit for months on end.
Just because a few Realtors are bad eggs, doesn't mean the rest of us are. All it takes is one bad experience and that person will have a lack of trust for the good Realtors. We have to do backflips in order to prove we are NOT like the last Realtor they dealt with. And when all is said and done, that client will have a renewed opinion and all is right with the world again.
I love my career and I work with so many great real estate agents!
